Clare and Becky recently attended the Business of Social Housing hosted by Insider. With changes in welfare reform and reductions in public funding, the Social Housing Sector is undergoing major challenges. The conference explored how housing associations and residential social landlords are adapting to these changes and attract new funding, without losing sight of their primary duty of care to their residents and the communities they help to build and maintain.
The Lowry needed a range of high impact launch material for their radical National Landmark Arts Centre. It had to showcase all that the Lowry had to offer in terms of Galleries, Theatres, Restaurants and Bars and communicate with a wide audience range including local people, theatre goers, families, schools, national and international visitors.
We created a range of strong, colourful programmes and promotional mailers, to communicate the comprehensive range of exhibitions and performances. The images were modern and radical, combining with the stunning Lowry building, to reflect the modern cultural experience. In addition to the high impact material the images were used in TV advertising and outdoor media to create a full launch campaign.

The biggest names in digital publishing gathered across Europe for the Adobe Digital Publishing Summit on November 15th in London. Guest speakers representing the industry’s best-known brands shared their expertise, discussed marketing opportunities and revealed the trends to watch out for.
Situated in County Durham in 150 acres of stunning woodland, Redworth Hall Hotel needed to revisit its brand to reflect the 4 star quality and Jacobean history.
Using an existing coat of arms CQ2 redesigned the hotel’s identity and name style and rolled it out across all key literature and merchandise from brochures to menus and key cards.
Founded in 1976 and made up of respected instrumentalists from some of the top orchestras in the world, NEO needed a new identity which gave them a modern image while encapsulating the quality and sophistication of a top orchestra. The new look would be used to promote and sell their concerts plus a range of products such as CD’s.
We created a unique logo based on pictograms of musical instruments and dancers positioned on a stave. The logo was modern in style which capturing the essence of the orchestra. We then developed a new website for the New English Orchestra; to promote their concerts and products such as CD’s. Alongside this we designed an on-going range of promotional flyers for specific events and concerts. Each leaflet reflects their corporate style while carrying a design in line with the theme of the occasion.
Bolton Arena were experiencing some problems with their corporate identity as people were unaware of whether it was a leisure centre, fitness suite or local amenity, They wanted to position the Arena as a top quality sports arena that would suit all members of the public.
With its public/private sector funding it was important not to be seen as an elitist facility but one which offered top quality facilities and coaching accessible to all.
Manchester Airport-North West Arts Sponsorship Campaign
‘Arts in the Northwest’ is the largest business sponsor of the Arts in the Northwest and one of the top ten nationally. They required a campaign, which enhanced the cultural product and standing of the region and communicated Manchester Airport’s sponsorship of the Arts.
We developed a strong style to reflect the Manchester Airport Group’s branding guidelines and which communicated the colour and passion of the Arts. We used images taken from different areas of the Arts and styled them as paper aeroplanes to suggest ‘flight’. The versatile style was then carried through a wide range of material including banners, media advertising and promotional literature.
Brinkers International operates two popular restaurant brands in the UK; Chili’s and Romano’s Macaroni Grill. Both are extensive USA based networks with a variety of international sites, including South East England and Northern Ireland. Material has to be produced against strict guidelines and house styles. In addition, restaurants regularly hold special promotions such as Mother’s Day, Valentines etc which require flyers with a quick turnaround and stringent deadlines.
